I began my acting career at age 6, Go-Go dancing with Bugs Bunny in a Kool-Aid commercial. Since then I've done everything from “day-player” roles to leads in films, starred in multiple network television series, and performed on stages all over the world.
I'm also a writer. My first book Shut Up & Dance—The Joy of Letting Go of the Lead, On the Dance Floor and Off, was published by Penguin, and I’ve read my work at various spoken word events including Spoken Interludes, Poetry in Motion, and Sunday Night Sex Talks. I'm currently at work on my second book.
But my greatest passion is personal coaching. I coach actors for TV, film, and theater, and I teach writers to feel comfortable in front of audiences and cameras so they can make the most of their readings and media appearances. I'm also a certified Tools® life coach. In this work I help everyone form performing artists and writers to CEOs overcome the psychological blocks that keep them from achieving their goals.
Please contact me here to book a coaching session. I look forward to hearing from you!
I've been a professional actor for virtually my entire life... I've had the good fortune to play roles I love and work with many highly respected actors.
Shut Up & Dance! my self-help/memoir using Tango as a metaphor for relationship was published by Penguin...
Although I love writing and acting my greatest joy is coaching...

(Illustration from The Tools, by Phil Stutz and Barry Michels.) A longtime client called me the other day in despair. We’ve been working together for a year now and her life has changed dramatically for the better, but she was in a slump. “I’ve never felt so unmotivated” she said, ‘I don’t want to […]Read More...

What people have said about Phil Stutz and Barry Michels NYT bestselling book, The Tools®: “Breakthrough material.”__Marianne Williamson “The motivation book that everyone in Hollywood is obsessed with.”__Vanity Fair “[Stutz and Michels] have developed a program designed to access the creative power of the unconscious.”__The New Yorker The "Tools®" have been my "secret weapon" since the mid-1980s when I was introduced to the brilliant psychiatrist Phil Stutz. When I began my work with Phil I was at a low point in my career and in my personal life. I’d seen many shrinks and had been involved with many various self-help systems but nothing created real change until Phil introduced me to The Tools and taught me how to apply them to my life. Now that Dr. Stutz and his partner Barry Michels have codified The Tools into a straightforward and easy to understand book, (there’s even an app!), anyone and everyone can benefit from this groundbreaking and transformative work. I’m honored to be the first to conduct a "Tools" group in the Los Angeles area. The purpose of the group is to create a safe and confidential place for people to ask questions, share their experiences, and receive support in the implementation of The Tools techniques in their day-to-day lives. The group will begin in August in the Toluca Lake area and held on four consecutive Wednesday evenings, 8/10-8/31 from 7:15-8:30pm. The group will be limited to 8 participants and will cost $100 for all four sessions. All participants must have read the book and begun practicing The Tools. A phone interview (no charge) is required before acceptance in the group. For more information and to schedule a phone interview please contact me at 323-799-8311 or Jamie@jamierosehere.com
