On-Camera Acting and Audition Technique
As a professional actor for over 35 years, instructor Jamie Rose has literally thousands of hours of first-hand on-set and audition experience. She has done everything from series leads in multiple Network television series, starring roles in feature films, to one-day guest stars. She has auditioned at every level, from generals and pre-reads to Network tests. Last year she added Casting Director to her resume when she helped cast a TV Movie for the Sci-fi channel, Children of the Corn and a Disney Web Series. Jamie understands the casting process from both sides of the table and will give you practical tools that will take you through the audition to the set.
This workshop is designed as a laboratory to explore the application of acting technique in the audition process and on the set. You will learn:
- The art of strong script analysis
- How to keep your concentration in the waiting room
- How to handle nerves
- Techniques for taking “in-the-room” direction
- ON SET AND ON-CAMERA TECHNIQUE
